Shorts Factory ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our autonomous YouTube production service ("Service").

Information You Provide
- Account information: name, email address, company name (if applicable).
- Payment information: processed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record). We do not store credit card numbers, bank details, or billing addresses. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
- YouTube credentials: OAuth tokens granting us permission to upload and manage content on your channel(s). We store these tokens securely and use them solely for service delivery.
- Content preferences: channel niche, tone, style, topics, and other creative direction you provide.
- Communications: emails, form submissions, and support messages.
Information Collected Automatically
- Channel analytics: views, subscribers, watch time, traffic sources, and engagement metrics from your YouTube channel(s), collected via the YouTube Analytics API to optimize content performance.
- Pipeline data: build logs, upload timestamps, and content performance metrics generated during service operation.
- Website analytics: basic visitor data (pages viewed, referral source) if you visit shortsfactory.io. We do not use tracking cookies.

4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Paddle — payment processing (Merchant of Record).
- YouTube/Google — content uploads and analytics via their APIs, under their terms.
- AI service providers — image generation, video animation, and voice synthesis APIs receive content prompts (not personal data) to produce video assets.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
5. Data Security
- YouTube OAuth tokens are stored locally on secured infrastructure, never in public repositories.
- API keys are stored as environment variables, not in code.
- We use HTTPS for all web communications.
- Access to client data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
6. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your subscription is active, deleted within 90 days of account closure upon request.
- YouTube content: published content remains on your YouTube channel. We do not retain copies of uploaded videos after successful upload.
- Analytics data: retained for up to 12 months to provide performance insights, then anonymized or deleted.
- Payment records: retained by Paddle per their retention policy.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Withdraw consent for data processing.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Revoke YouTube OAuth permissions at any time through your Google Account settings.

8. Cookies
Our website (shortsfactory.io) does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics scripts. We are a static site hosted on GitHub Pages with no server-side tracking.

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
10. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in multiple jurisdictions (including Canada, the United States, and the European Union) through our service providers. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers.
